I was falsely arrested in May 2025 by a young crooked DPS officer and charged with possession of "BLUE METH"... never even thought they had such a charge. I had to stay in jail a few days, give up my passport, and post a $20,000 bail. The so-called blue meth was blue rock candy. We even have recordings where the officer admitted the substance tested pink with the test kit in their vehicle, which means it is a non-narcotic. Mr. Sims was very patient in hearing my story. I spent three hours during our initial consultation. He asked me to think about it and call him if I’d like to hire him. I hired The Sims Law Firm the same day. Mr. Sims has been prompt and professional, and has kept me updated throughout the six months that I had to go through this ordeal. After six months, Mr. Sims made sure DPS either test the substance or drop the case. The substance came back testing as candy. I had to pay additional money to get this case expunged. For falsely being accused, I had to post bail, hire an attorney, then pay to get the case expunged. Justice is not so just sometimes. In May 2020, I wanted a defense attorney and happened to notice Adv. Brandon Sims’s profile online. Impressed by his work profile, I hired him and from the first phone call, I had a gut feeling this guy would rid me of this case. I was under tremendous psychological pressure, and I was bombarding him with many questions about trifle things that are in no way connected with legal proceedings. All the points I put forward were just sentimental and they were not of any value in the court. I now realize, in addition to the court proceedings, he brilliantly helped me cut out the unnecessary worries I had with this case, keeping my mind straight every turn of the way. At least two days before every court date, he and I would hash out all the important parts, discussing each breakthrough he found, reviewing how he will be approaching this case. He heard me out trying to clarify any points he might be missing, but through my long blabbers, he would take back useful nuggets and incorporate them in the case that he will put forth a few days after. He has been extremely professional ever since he took my case and has worked on it with extreme vigor. A few examples would be that he was always available through email and text and that he had never been tardy in our meetings or caused the court to be waiting for him. In my past, I have had unprofessional experiences of both of those issues with other lawyers and I was relieved that there weren’t any additional problems that were created by my own party. One major thing to mention is that he helped me through this during peak COVID-19 pandemic and I am sure that was not an easy thing to do. Now, I am acquitted of all the charges completely and he is filing for the expunging of my case from all the records. I am deeply thankful for what Brandon has done for me and my family. If anyone is looking for a lawyer with extreme knowledge of the justice system and professionalism, Brandon is my answer to you. For such an enthusiastic industrious guy like Brandon, I don’t think any review is required for him to be successful. Time will prove him to be one of the best criminal lawyers in the country.
